Tag me, and you will find me ...

As I mentioned in my first post that I’m going to talk about some of the new features that Launched recently in Spot Local Network. Couple of days ago, we launched our new feature … “Tags”.

“Tags” or “Tagging” is a new technique that a lot of websites are using now as a part of that revolution, happened in web generation long time ago named as... Web 2.0

In a very simple way, to TAG something … is to give it a Label … That’s it.

Do you remember those old days when we used to organize our files in chunks; and give each folder a “Label” or a name, so we can categorize our files to refer to them back again easily??! It’s the same thing exactly.

You give anything - and I mean anything – labels or “Tags” to remind you and to be able to search and find it back again. After a long time, you’ll find everything categorized based on those tags you have added; and you’ll find it easier for you, if you have just clicked on a tag, to see a list of all your files or items that have been tagged with that name.

You can find this new feature in the detail pages just under the name of any hotel, diving center or any item you want to tag.

We made it simple and usable for everyone; just click on “add tag” button that should open a text box, so you can type all your favorite tags and make sure you separate them by a comma ( , ) then click again on “add tag” and you’ll find them appear below among the other tags .. You like it, right?! :D

This feature is based on Ajax Technology – check out Amr’s post for more info – and personally; I think it is a great feature that should replace the normal search bars.

So as I said before … Tag me, and you will find me. Go get them “Taggerrrr” ;)

PS. Try to minimize your tags to single or couple of words to make it easier and searchable for you and me ;)
