Travel 2.0

I’ll simply describe it as “Web 2.0 approach and implementation in the online travel services” and the same applied by the way in different online services like, i.e. bookmark 2.0, community 2.0, E-commerce 2.0, etc….

The travel 2.0 is a recipe of many things starting by obtain affiliations programs’ whereas hotels & service providers selling their availabilities through different web sites & GDSs, or locating offers/places on Mapping engine, or having travel guides based on Wiki engine where anyone can update with a nonbiased judgment, and sharing the facts and what interesting about each destination, or travelers writes about their holidays on their own blogs & sharing Multimedia and tagging it to make it easier to be reached by other travelers, allowing more participation & recommendation in addition to some funky features like AJAX & Java that improve the joy of use concept.

In Spot Local we believe that the travel 2.0 is the future of the online travel service and its development, so in our websites we are keen to “bring travelers and locals together to share knowledge, rate the value of the information plus compare and book travel deals. Our mission in developing this application is to make it fun, simple and so easy ... that even your Grandma can add her comments, or book her next holiday!”
