Finally it's here ... our brand new calendar!!
Ok.. ok.. I know it's only a calendar at the end of the day, but if you are one of internet lovers you'll get it the way I do (Read Tamer's post to get the big picture)
A Calendar, is the big player and almost the most important element for every Traveling website. Why? Simply, because you can't do any reservation or booking without it :D
Here - in Spot Local Labs - we give our users the first priority while creating or adding new features to our network. We even invite our friends (beginner users) to our labs for "Beta Testing" (Read more about Beta Versions) to get the exact reactions and feedbacks; and that was the case when we re-invented our calendar ... the big player of our online Reservation System
These are the most important issues we were thinking of while we are designing our new calendar:
- Simple
- Very clear & usable
- Very light for fast loading
- Fits in all our network places without taking large space
- shows 2 months instead of one for better preview
- shows 12 months total in front of users’ eyes all the time for fast selection
- choosing either check in or check out dates should reflect automatically in the number of nights (no guessing)
- Shows the available stuff that can be booked only (reducing the search results for fast browsing and booking)
The best part about our calendar is that its programming code generates its design and look dynamically. Thanks to Amir (our Technical Manager) he customized it to generate everything based on the user’s request; so you'll find our calendar shows 2 months for every bookable item that has check in and checkout dates (Hotels). But you'll find it shows only one month for those bookable items with only one date (Diving Courses).
We would like to know if our new calendar helps you in your next booking and makes your life easier or not. You can contact us directly via email: feedback@spotlocal.net
we would like to hear from you ;)
